Acquisitions: Telle Tire buys Jim Whaley, Great Water gets Miller Automotive

Webster Groves, Missouri-based Telle Tire & Auto Centers has grown to 70 stores in six states, thanks to the recent acquisitions of Lens Automotive in St. Louis and Jim Whaley Tire of Dothan, Alabama.

The purchase expands Telle Tire’s footprint to 70 locations across six states and highlights its commitment to growing the Jim Whaley brand as a pillar within its business model,” according to Telle Tire & Auto Centers officials.

Lens Automotives has twwo stores in St. Louis and Jim Whley has seven locations in Alabama.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Telle Tires & Auto Centers plans to operate the Jim Whaley stores as they are.

Brandon Outlaw, vice president of operations for Jim Whaley Tires, will remain with the company to lead the Southeast market as director of retail operations.

Jim Whaley founded the company that bears his name in 1986.

GreatWater 360 acquires Indiana store

To close 2025, GreatWater 360 Auto Care added another local shop to its growing network: Miller Automotive in Madison, Indiana. The acquisition marks GreatWater’s 149th location. The company added 21 new locations in 2025.

Miller Automotive has been serving the Madison community with full-service repairs, routine maintenance for years. The shop has also earned the reputation as the local European and diesel experts in the area.

GreatWater plans to continue investing in independent shops that align with its values: integrity, transparency, and customer-first service.

Left Lane buys 6-location Maine operation

Left Lane Auto LLC has acquired Portland, Maine-based Don Foshay’s Discount Tire & Alignment, a dealership with six locations throughout Maine.

The acquisition gives Left Lane Auto, which is headquartered in Champaign, Illinois., more than 80 locations.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Don Foshay’s Discount Tire & Alignment bills itself as “the largest Cooper Tire dealer in northern New England” and employs more than 75 people. It was founded by Don Foshay Sr.

Parham Parastaran, CEO of Left Lane Auto, said the compoany plans to retain all Don Foshay’s Discount Tire & Alignment employees, as well as the dealership’s upper management team.
